The Associated European Energy Consultants (AEEC) is an association of pre-eminent energy law specialists throughout the European Union and beyond. AEEC was established in 2000 and has been growing ever since. Our members are considered to be among the leading energy law firms in their home countries with additional experience in associated areas of law such as utility and communication, and environmental law.
The members of AEEC are currently based in twenty different EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Czach Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden) as well as in several non EU Member States (Albania, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine). Without shifting its European focus, AEEC has successfully established and continues to establish strong relationships with non EU law firms, including in the United States, India and China. AEEC supports its membersin organising projects in the areas of energy, infrastructure, utility and communication, and environment. Co-operation between the member firms is very well established and enables the regular exchange of reliable information regarding the dynamic legal and economic development of the energy sector at European level. AEEC's members are ideal partners for cross-border consultation in energy and utility law matters, and their services include advising on international energy trading and supporting parallel multinational activities.
In addition to its annual spring, summer and autumn conferences, the members regularly meet in working groups in order to discuss, often with the participation of other experts, current topics and developments.
AEEC, headquartered in Berlin, is led and represented by a Board of Directors, which manages the association's affairs. AEEC was ranked as No. 1 European legal network in Chambers Global Guide 2013.
